Featured years ago for launching Road Runner cable internet in the Rochester area — the first of many Road Runner launches I led nationwide. I then went on to lead Time Warner's national broadband partnerships with AOL and EarthLink. I've been helping people get comfortable with new technology ever since.
My name is Jay, and I created Senior Tech Guardian to help seniors feel safe, confident, and supported when using technology. For the last year and a half, I've volunteered as a tech support specialist with Senior Planet from AARP, completing over 200 one-on-one Zoom sessions helping seniors with everything from smartphones to scam prevention. Senior Tech Guardian grew directly out of that experience — bringing that same patient, one-on-one help to seniors and caregivers across the country, over Zoom.
I believe technology should empower people — not intimidate them. My approach is simple:
